Paul Quinn Falls to Biblical Studies in Home Contest, 86–77
DALLAS, TX – October 28, 2025 The Paul Quinn College men’s basketball team dropped a hard-fought matchup Tuesday night, falling 86–77 to Biblical Studies inside the Health and Wellness Center.
The Tigers (0–2) battled throughout the contest, rallying late behind strong inside play and second-chance scoring, but were unable to overcome Biblical Studies' efficient outside shooting.
Isaiah McCallum led Paul Quinn with 15 points and 9 rebounds, while Rhasod Ballard added 18 points, going 12-for-13 from the free throw line. Sherlock Padmore posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards, and Mekhi Johnson delivered a standout effort off the bench with 11 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists, and 6 steals.
As a team, Paul Quinn outrebounded Biblical Studies 51–32 and dominated in the paint with 52 points, but cold three-point shooting (11.8%) and timely makes from the visitors proved decisive. Biblical Studies was led by Omani Ozenne's 28 points and Darion Ramos' 22-point effort, which included six made three-pointers.
"We played with effort and intensity," said Head Coach LeShawn Hammett. "Our rebounding and energy were great, but we must tighten up on perimeter defense and take care of the ball. The foundation is there now; it's about putting four complete quarters together."
Paul Quinn will look to bounce back as it continues its non-conference slate at home
