Paul Quinn Men’s Soccer Rallies Past Jarvis Christian in Season Opener, 4–3
DALLAS, TX — August 23, 2025 In a dramatic season-opening thriller at home, Paul Quinn College overcame a two-goal deficit to defeat Jarvis Christian University, 4–3, on Saturday afternoon. The match was defined by momentum swings, key saves, and a hat trick from junior forward Frankie Oviedo, who led the Tigers to victory.
Jarvis Christian struck early, stunning the hosts with a goal straight from kickoff. Julia Doprey, assisted by Carlos Montenegro, put the Bulldogs ahead just seconds into the match.
