Marshall, Missouri – August 30, 2025 Paul Quinn College closed out the weekend with one of its most competitive showings yet, battling Grand View University before falling in three sets (25–20, 26–24, 25–18). The Tigers challenged the Vikings throughout, nearly stealing the second frame and showing signs of growth against a nationally respected program
Set One: Early Energy
The Tigers opened with determination, tallying 12 kills in the first set. Jayden Jones led the charge with several powerful swings en route to a team-high 12 kills on the day. Carrie Weston also added steady production at the net with 11 kills. Despite their offensive push, Grand View's balanced attack proved the difference in a 25–20 result.
Set Two: Nail-Biter
The second set showcased Paul Quinn's resilience and fight. Behind clean setting from Spirit Phipps (19 assists, 5 digs, 2 kills) and opportunistic swings from Jones, Weston, and JaQuelle Felton (3 kills, .429 hitting), the Tigers kept pace with Grand Viewpoint point-for-point.
