Paul Quinn Volleyball Dominates Home Opener with Sweep of Southwestern Adventist
Dallas, TX – September 2, 2025 Paul Quinn College volleyball opened its home slate in emphatic fashion, sweeping Southwestern Adventist University (25–10, 25–12, 25–9) inside the Tigers Den. The Tigers put together their most efficient offensive outing of the young season, hitting .324 as a team and never allowing the Knights to find a rhythm.
Explosive Start
The Tigers wasted no time establishing control, posting a .588 hitting percentage in the opening set. Carrie Weston set the tone with 7 kills on just 13 swings (.538), while Jamya Fields added 7 kills of her own at a .500 clip. Paul Quinn rolled to a 25–10 first-set victory, feeding off the energy of a lively home crowd.
Balanced Attack and Strong Serving
The second set saw the Tigers spread the offense around, with contributions from Laila Beck (3 kills, .750), Makaila Piggee (3 kills, .429), and Brittany Brown-Riddick (2 kills, 1.000).
